About Tidbit
Tidbit is a free dictionary of technology terms for curious people who are not engineers: a nurse, a lawyer, a student, a founder. They hear words like GPU, token, S3, HTTPS or Kubernetes and want to actually understand them in five minutes. Every term has a one-line definition, two to four short paragraphs, an everyday analogy, three or four points to remember, a hand-drawn style diagram and links to official documentation.
Every entry is written in English and in Spanish as native pieces with the same content, not a literal translation. Terms have a level (basic, intermediate, advanced) and every technical term that has its own entry is linked wherever it appears, so you can follow a thread from the basics to the advanced topics. The dictionary covers AI, AWS, Cloud, Hardware, Software, Data, Security, Networks, Tech companies.
Tidbit is made by Legios, a small software studio from Rosario, Argentina, and it is open source under the MIT license. The content, the diagrams and the code live in a public GitHub repository, where anyone can suggest a new term, report a mistake or send a correction. Entries are checked against the official documentation they link to before they are published, and every external link is verified.
There is no account and no tracking. To keep you coming back, the home page shows a different term every day you visit, and you can mark terms as learned; both live only in your own browser.
